Karnataka Information Commission, Bangalore

Karnataka Information Commission is constituted by the State Government through a Gazette Notification. The Commission includes one State Chief Information Commissioner (SCIC) and not more than 10 State Information Commissioners (SIC) who will be appointed by the Governor.

The State Information Commission, shall, while inquiring into any matter under this section, have the same powers as are vested in a civil court while trying a suit under the Code of Civil Procedure.
