The BLDE Association realised the growing needs of technical education in this region and started the College of Engineering and Technology in 1980.

To be an institution providing Technical Education and Training at Graduate and Post-Graduate levels in response to the changing needs of industries and society through a flexible and innovative learning process enabling the students to build productive careers and excel in their professions with high degree of integrity and ethical standards.

The Management has always endeavored to create the most conducive and complete learning environment for students and it is revealed in the facilities available for students, which are beyond those stipulated by the University.
